DIY-Project: wood sign | wall art

All you need for this simple DIY Project is a piece of wood and a wood burning pen (Pyrography pen). And the most important :-) –> Be creative when thinking about fonts and typography. 

Here is a little tutorial on how I make a wood sign:

Look at the pictures below to see what you will need:

• A piece of wood
• Sandpaper
• Tracing paper for your “quote” & pencil
• Pyrography pen
• Choose the right font 
• Some cosiness :-)

Before using the Pyrography pen, sand your wood. 

Maybe you should also get several pieces of practice wood before starting with your design. When choosing a font or typography, take care of the contrast between the letterforms and the wood texture.

After two hours (maybe three) of cosy work, you will come to this result: your own hand crafted wood sign.
